INTERIOR DESIGN

During my time in the interior design program at MATC I have learned so much that I have been able to apply to my current job. Since March 2020 I have been working as a Design Assistant for a small residential design studio here in Milwaukee, WI. While working in this position my love for residential interior design has grown. My other love is creating 3D models and renderings of interior spaces. I have been able to turn that into a business and hope to one day soon expand to offer interior design services as well.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Interior designers use creativity, technical knowledge, and aesthetics to create solutions that improve the function and quality of interior environments. Coursework includes manual and computer-aided design (CAD) drawing, and commercial and residential planning.
Demand for interior designers is strongest in kitchen and bath design and remodeling, and in corporate and industrial facilities design.
The Interior Design program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Contact an MATC advisor for information.
