Mya Marchant
I am an inspiring Interior Designer excited to start my career in the industry. I have always been drawn to interior design and chose to go back to school for it after obtaining a bachelor’s in Advertising and PR with a minor in Graphic Design. I am currently an Interior Design Intern at Direct Supply which specializes in Senior Living. Come May 2023 I will be starting at Design Environments in Downtown Chicago on the hospitality team as well as assisting with marketing.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Interior designers use creativity, technical knowledge, and aesthetics to create solutions that improve the function and quality of interior environments. Coursework includes manual and computer-aided design (CAD) drawing, and commercial and residential planning.
Demand for interior designers is strongest in kitchen and bath design and remodeling, and in corporate and industrial facilities design.
The Interior Design program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Contact an MATC advisor for information.
