With 27 years as a pediatric and cardiac nurse, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the impact of thoughtful, supportive environments. After renovating two of my own homes, I followed my long-standing passion for interior design and will graduate from MATC with a degree in Interior Design in Fall 2025. I now specialize in creating vibrant, functional spaces that blend bold design with purpose. While my career has evolved, my nursing roots remain central—I bring empathy, attention to detail, and a focus on well-being to every design project I take on.
Interior designers use creativity, technical knowledge, and aesthetics to create solutions that improve the function and quality of interior environments. Coursework includes manual and computer-aided design (CAD) drawing, and commercial and residential planning.
Demand for interior designers is strongest in kitchen and bath design and remodeling, and in corporate and industrial facilities design.
The Interior Design program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Contact an MATC advisor for information.
