Juan Carlos Wood
Juan Carlos Wood is a professional photographer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He specializes in sports photography, capturing the action and raw emotion of sports. With over three years experience as a freelance photographer, Juan Carlos has also worked in portrait, event and commercial photography.
While at MATC, Juan Carlos completed an internship at Milwaukee Tool, where he assisted on product shoots. He also interned with the Wisconsin Windigo hockey club, shooting pregame, in-game and media day. He served as the sports photography editor for the MATC Times campus newspaper, where he had the unique opportunity to shoot NCAA March Madness.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Use professional equipment and methods to master the skills necessary for this highly visual, creative and exacting profession. MATC’s laboratory/studio areas have state-of-the-art traditional and digital cameras, lighting, processing and finishing equipment. Program requirements include an internship for real-world experience.
Photographers work in advertising, photojournalism, and industrial and portrait photography. Employment opportunities also include equipment sales.
You can earn the Digital Imaging technical diploma on the way to completing the Photography associate degree.
