My name is Sawyer Donovan, I’m a photographer based in Racine, Wisconsin, specializing in portrait, sports, commercial and editorial photography. I began photography at Racine Case High School as a yearbook photographer, where I built a strong foundation in composition, lighting, and working in fast-paced environments. I am currently finishing my last semester for an associate’s in photography at MATC, where hands-on training continues to refine my technical skills, streamline my workflow, and elevate my work to a more elite, professional standard. I approach every project with efficiency, attention to detail, and a clear creative direction, delivering consistent, high-quality images that meet professional and client expectations.
Use professional equipment and methods to master the skills necessary for this highly visual, creative and exacting profession. MATC’s laboratory/studio areas have state-of-the-art traditional and digital cameras, lighting, processing and finishing equipment. Program requirements include an internship for real-world experience.
Photographers work in advertising, photojournalism, and industrial and portrait photography. Employment opportunities also include equipment sales.
You can earn the Digital Imaging technical diploma on the way to completing the Photography associate degree.
