Suzanne R. Stone

As a native and lifetime resident of Wisconsin with a lifelong love of nature and gardening, both provided a natural pale:e for my early work in photography. Realizing the power of the camera to capture natural imagery, I began formal training in photography and graphic design. I started selling my photographs as stand-alone prints and photographic objets d’art such as note- and greeting-cards, as well as printed photographs.

A decades-long career of teaching language arts has been, perhaps, the strongest element of my prepara&on for being a prac&&oner of the visual arts. Focus, composition, creativity, form, expression—these are the elements we depend on to capture and transmit what we see and experience in the world around us. My interests now are taking me into photo-encaustic and cyanotype art, and sharing what I have learned through workshops.
